Create focused agents, choose models, and bring your own API keys.

Specialist agents are focused assistants you create for recurring jobs — each with its own instructions, model, and tool access.

Creating an agent

The fastest way is to ask Elio: describe the job (“an agent that qualifies inbound leads and drafts a first reply”) and Elio proposes the setup. You can also create and edit agents manually from the Agents page: give it a name, write its instructions, and pick a model.

Choosing a model

Each agent stores its preferred AI model and provider. You can use models included with your plan, or connect your own provider accounts.

Bring your own keys (BYOK)

In Settings → API keys you can add your own keys for providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and many OpenAI-compatible services. When a key is present, your agents use it directly — usage is billed by your provider, not against your Elio quota. Keys are stored encrypted and are never displayed again after saving.

Scheduled tasks

Any agent can run on a schedule: daily digests, weekly reports, inbox monitoring. Ask Elio to “run this every weekday at 8am” or manage schedules from the Tasks page. Scheduled runs can notify you in the web app, by Telegram, or by WhatsApp.
